Don Bosco Avsar Chinchwad, in collaboration with ICYM Poona Diocese, and SSVP Poona Diocese, successfully organized a grand Job Fair on its campus, drawing widespread participation from industry and academia alike.
The event saw 33 reputed companies from diverse sectors offering career opportunities to students. A total of 354 aspirants attended the fair and underwent structured selection processes, including interviews and interaction rounds. Among them, 312 were shortlisted, while 100 students successfully secured placement offers across different job roles.
To ensure candidates were well-prepared, orientation and guidance sessions were conducted by SSVP Poona Diocese, instilling confidence and equipping students for their interviews.
The fair was graced by prominent dignitaries, including Fr Ashley Miranda (Provincial Designate, Mumbai Province), Col. Amol B, Mr Duttratray (Crime Branch Officer), Mr Arun Bhist (Sr. Vice President, Knnor Bremse), Mr Ajinkya Bangar (Executive Director, Knnor Bremse), Mr Gaurav Choudhary (CSR Executive, Schaffler), Fr Julian Misquitta (Parish Priest), Fr Jitendra David (Dean), Fr Peter Rodrigues (Parish Priest, Nigdi), Mr Prashant Kedari (President, CRS), Mr Harish (National JPN Officer), and Sr Sujet (Mother Theresa Home). Each dignitary appreciated the institute’s efforts in bridging the gap between academia and industry while motivating the students towards professional success.
Adding further vibrancy, students from Pratibha College conducted interviews with dignitaries and participants on the crucial topic of cybersecurity, presenting insights on its applications and relevance for today’s youth.
Volunteers from Chinchwad and Nigdi parishes also played a significant role in managing the event, ensuring smooth coordination.
Speaking on the success of the fair, institute representatives highlighted that the initiative not only provided career opportunities but also created a valuable platform for networking between young talent and leading recruiters. The institute acknowledged the guidance and support received from the Don Bosco Job Placement Network, Chennai office, for its planning and execution.
The job fair concluded with an overwhelming response, marking it as a notable success in fostering youth employability and industry engagement.
