Don Bosco, Chinchwad, proudly hosted a prestigious certificate distribution ceremony at their state-of-the-art facility in Pune, Maharashtra. This vibrant event celebrated the remarkable success of 60 trainees from two batches who completed the intensive Electric Vehicle (EV) training program under TERI's EIACP and GSDP initiatives.
Held in the well-equipped AV room, the ceremony drew enthusiastic attendance from participants, faculty, industry experts, and community stakeholders, underscoring the institute's pivotal role in fostering green skills.
The vocational EV training course, meticulously delivered at Don Bosco ITI, Pune, equipped young participants with essential competencies for India's burgeoning green mobility sector. Aligned with industry standards, the program featured comprehensive modules on EV manufacturing, assembly, and maintenance. Trainees engaged in hands-on sessions covering advanced assembly techniques, diagnostic procedures, battery management systems, and safety protocols. This practical focus not only built technical proficiency but also prepared youth for sustainable employment amid India's ambitious EV transition, addressing critical skill gaps in the automotive ecosystem.
Each batch comprised 30 dedicated trainees, totaling 60 graduates who demonstrated unwavering commitment through rigorous coursework and real-world simulations. Upon completion, participants received proficiency certificates and practical tool kits stocked with essential implements—like multimeters, torque wrenches, and safety gear—for immediate professional application. These resources empower graduates to step confidently into workshops, service centers, or manufacturing units, contributing to national goals of eco-friendly transportation.
The event was graced by Dr. P. K. Bhattacharya, Senior Fellow, Director, and EIACP Coordinator from TERI, New Delhi, as Chief Guest. In his inspiring address, Dr Bhattacharya highlighted the program's role in bridging skill shortages, accelerating India's EV adoption, and creating pathways for rural and urban youth.
