010 Don Bosco Technical Institute Chinchwad Holds Convocation Ceremony

On November 7, 2024, Don Bosco Technical Institute Chinchwad proudly hosted its Convocation Ceremony, honoring students who successfully completed their courses. Principal Mr Nilesh Chandgude warmly welcomed the graduating students, while Fr. Colbert Da'Silva, Administrator, graced the occasion as the chief guest.

Fr Colbert Da'Silva exhorted the students to embrace lifelong learning, he said that we should never stop learning, seek knowledge from everyone. He cited the example of gardeners from whom he has learned about the right way of planting. 

Fr Anton D'Souza, Director, encouraged the students to remain connected with the Institute for guidance, updates and learning. He appealed to them to come forward to share expertise with new students by offering themselves for an hour of teaching theory or practical whenever possible. He briefed the students about the upcoming events and new courses and encouraged them to continuously upgrade their skills for a brighter future. 

On this occasion, John Paul, an Electrical trade student, was felicitated for achieving an outstanding 94% in the region. It was announced that he is appointed as the assistant Instructor and doing his apprenticeship in the same Institute. Fr Colbert Da'Silva distributed certificates to the graduating students.

In the second half, Don Bosco Technical Institute organized an Electrical Tool Kit distribution ceremony for its recently passed-out electrician students. The event was graced by Fr Colbert Da'Silva, Administrator of the Institute, as the chief guest. 

Fr Anton D'Souza paid tribute to Fr. Colbert Da'Silva, a jubilarian celebrating a milestone of dedicated service to the Don Bosco Society. Highlighting Fr. Colbert's remarkable journey, Fr Anton emphasized his dynamic personality and vast experience in the administration. He recalled Fr Colbert's years of selfless commitment to society in various roles that showcased his versatility and dedication. The Director asked the students to emulate his hardworking qualities and to strive for excellence

Fr Anton D'Souza, Director of the Institution expressed heartfelt gratitude to Schneider Electric for generously sponsoring the toolkits.

The students expressed their sincere thanks and appreciation for the gesture, acknowledging that the toolkits would serve as a valuable resource in their future endeavors. This memento will forever hold a special place in their hearts.

The ceremony concluded with a group photo session, where staff and students came together to capture the memorable moment.
