The certificate distribution ceremony for the inaugural Agentic AI batch at Don Bosco Chinchwad commenced on a vibrant note, drawing an enthusiastic crowd of students, faculty, and distinguished guests.
Alisha, a standout student from the previous batch, opened the event with a heartfelt welcome, her poised delivery setting an inspiring tone. She gracefully invited Rector and Director Fr Anton Dsouza to the podium to introduce the chief guest and dignitaries.
Fr D’Souza extended a warm embrace to all attendees, spotlighting the institute's commitment to cutting-edge education. He proudly introduced Captain Vinay Singh, the chief guest, whose 31 years of exemplary service in the Indian Navy include commanding INS Alleppey, specializing in amphibious operations, and expertise in Nuclear, Biological, and Chemical defense. Captain Singh also contributes to key organizations like the Sambhav Kadam Foundation, MILVEST, and the Indian Naval Academy in Ezhimala, Kerala.
In his address, Captain Vinay expressed profound gratitude to Fr D’Souza and Cladius Sir for the invitation. With humor that lit up the room, he quipped to the students, “I truly envy you all for spending quality time learning from Cladius Sir. Over the past six months, I've been chasing a meeting with him, but he's busier than a naval fleet in action!” Laughter rippled through the audience, underscoring the vital role of mentorship in today's fast-paced world.
Mr Arun Bisht, Senior Vice President at Knorr-Bremse Commercial Vehicles, lauded the program's inclusivity, noting his delight in seeing both students and professionals upskilling in AI. “In this tech-driven era, continuous learning isn't optional—it's essential,” he urged.
Ms Debanjana Das, CSR Head at Knorr-Bremse Global Care, reflected on her initial site visit to the Don Bosco Advanced Computer Lab. She commended the tireless efforts of Fr D’Souza, Nilesh Sir, and the technical staff. “AI is reshaping our future; embrace its challenges with courage,” she motivated the gathering.
The highlight was the certificate distribution, where graduates received accolades, and the top three performers—prized with motivational books—beamed with pride. Students shared glowing reflections: “Cladius Sir's interactive sessions turned complex algorithms into simple stories,” one said.
Another added, “The curriculum built real-world skills, patiently resolving every doubt.” Alisha closed with a poignant Vote of Thanks, honoring dignitaries, staff, and peers. Special tribute went to Cladius Sir, whose weekend volunteering—amid a demanding full-time career—exemplifies selfless service.
The event ended on an uplifting note, signaling Don Bosco's bold stride into AI empowerment for youth.
