In a collaborative effort to empower youth with cutting-edge technical skills, Don Bosco Chinchwad conducted a dynamic Electric Vehicle (EV) orientation program for students of Bosco Udyogdhala Pinguli.
The event underscored the growing importance of emerging sectors like EVs, CNC programming, and refrigeration technology in enhancing employability.
The Rector and staff of Bosco Udyogdhala extended a warm welcome to Fr Anton D'Souza, Mr Nilesh Chandgude, and Mr John Louis from Don Bosco Chinchwad.
Mr Nilesh Chandgude, Principal of Don Bosco Chinchwad, delivered an insightful presentation on EV training, captivating the audience with practical insights into the EV ecosystem. Key highlights included the announcement of admissions for 40-day Short-Term Skill Development Training Programmes at Don Bosco ITI Chinchwad. These industry-aligned courses blend theoretical knowledge, hands-on practicals, and expert instruction in state-of-the-art laboratories, preparing participants for high-demand careers.
Courses Offered-
EV Service Assistant: Covers introduction to electric vehicles, EV components and working principles, battery systems and charging technologies, maintenance, troubleshooting, safety practices, and diagnostic tools. Career paths include EV Service Technician, EV Workshop Assistant, and Battery Maintenance Technician.
Basic CNC Programming: Introduces CNC fundamentals, opening doors to roles like CNC Operator, CNC Programmer Assistant, and Production Technician.
Refrigeration & Air Conditioning (RAC) – Domestic & Commercial Appliances: Explores refrigeration cycles, installation, servicing, gas charging, leak detection, troubleshooting, and commercial systems. Opportunities span RAC Technician, Appliance Service Technician, and Maintenance Technician.
Standout features include practical industry-oriented training, experienced faculty, well-equipped workshops, hands-on learning, certificates upon completion, and career guidance with placement support.
