016 Don Bosco Technical Institute Chinchwad Hosts Two Prestigious Events

On February 5, 2025, the Don Bosco Technical Institute Chinchwad organized two significant events:
Convocation Ceremony & Workshop on Skill Development & International Collaboration.
A successful workshop was held, bringing together esteemed dignitaries from GIZ (Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit), Let's Bridge It, Schaeffler, TATA Motors and Don Bosco Management.
The workshop focused on three primary areas such as -
Best Practices in Electrical Vehicle Technology, Expert insights into the latest technologies and innovations. Career Opportunities- exploring the growing demand for skilled professionals in the industry and Skill Development and Training Programs.
The workshop provided a valuable platform for knowledge sharing, networking, and collaboration among industry experts, academia, and stakeholders.
The convocation ceremony for the Electrical Vehicle (EV) training program for girls was a resounding success, celebrating the achievements of the students and the collaborative efforts of the partnering organizations.
The occasion was distinguished by the presence of esteemed representatives from partnering organizations, including Schaeffler, GIZ, and TATA Motors. Their involvement underscored the collective commitment to advancing skill development and innovation in the electric vehicle sector, enriching the event’s significance.
Ms Shiby Mathew, CSR Head, India Schaeffler, praised the joint collaboration between Don Bosco, Schaeffler, GIZ, Tata Motors, and Aundh Technical for empowering girls in EV technology.
Mr Nilesh Chandgude, Principal, presented an overview of the institute's efforts in training girls for EV technology, highlighting the strong support from Don Bosco Mondo and Schaeffler.
The ceremony revealed an impressive 80% job placement rate for the girls, with Tata Motors officials extending their invitation to apply for jobs.
Three students shared their testimonials, and the Don Bosco students and girls sang a melodious song of gratitude, adding a touching and celebratory note to the event.
Fr Anton D'Souza, Director, expressed his gratitude to all stakeholders for their role in training the students and wished the students success in their future endeavors.
