Don Bosco Technical Institute, Chinchwad, proudly celebrated Independence Day with a pledge of loyalty to the nation. The occasion saw the staff and students gathered together, dressed in vibrant colors yet marked by a solemn atmosphere reflecting the significance of the day.
India’s 79th Independence Day marks 79 years since the country’s liberation from British colonial rule in 1947. This day is a powerful symbol of the nation’s journey—honoring the sacrifices of countless freedom fighters, celebrating unity and resilience, and renewing a collective pledge for progress, justice, and inclusion.
Mr. Gaurav Choudhary, CSR Executive Director of Schaeffler India, graced the event as the Chief Guest. The dignitaries and students saluted the National Flag and sang the National Anthem with great pride and unity.
The celebrations featured patriotic speeches and songs delivered by the students of the Women in Refinish program. Their speeches honored the great leaders who laid the foundations of our nation’s freedom.
In his address, Mr. Gaurav Choudhary emphasized that the prosperity of the nation depends significantly on skill training. He encouraged everyone to learn skills and explore new heights.
Fr. Anton D’Souza, Director of the Institute, spoke about the importance of nationalism, urging all to promote it through every action they undertake.
Mr. Nilesh Chandgude, Principal, expressed his gratitude to everyone for their continuous efforts contributing to the growth of the institute.
A highlight of the event was the speech by Ms. Tejaswini, who passionately said that true independence means having the freedom to speak, think, and explore. She expressed her hope that embracing this spirit would lead to the emergence of a new and vibrant India.
The program concluded with staff and students coming together to share a spirit of unity and national pride.
