Fitter Course

The ITI-certified Fitter trade at Don Bosco Chinchwad is a two year long professional course where students develop skills like structure fittings, pipe fittings, and machine fittings. Acquiring these skills, help students to take up jobs as Lathe operators, work in the automobile, aircraft, assembly or mining where they are responsible for fitting, fabricating, and constructing the structural components that consist of mechanical systems.

The ITI Fitter trade consists of theoretical and practical aspects of machinery, joints, technical work, maintenance, etc. Students study the use and application of heavy machinery like the drilling machine and lathe machine.

Apart from this, the students also receive training into the correct procedures to do when filing. Students are also trained towards keeping accurate measurements. Political sessions in the fitter trade also include basics of welding and the use and working of gauges.

The ITI Fitter trade course is a course focused largely on practical knowledge. On completion of their training as apprentices, students have a higher chance of being hired.
